During Last Call, an event that I adore in Athens, I was followed and harassed by a stranger. My spouse and I were in the crowd listening to the music and I noticed a man continually getting closer to us, even as we moved. Eventually, after moving for the 3rd time, he said, "I feel bad for your dog because it has dyke parents." He continued to scream at us and sadly when the women he was with (assumed his wife) tried to intervene he screamed at her, "woman, you get over there and stay out of this." He told me repeatedly that he has been here for 50 yrs so this is his place. It was honestly just a sadden experience in a town that I typically feel safe in. Unfortunately, we my spouse and I had to leave the area because this man would not stop harassing us.
