It was my first month in Athens as an international student in my first US town. I loved the beautiful scenery and the friendly people in Athens. At a weekend, I was at Jackie O's chilling out. A girl was sitting across the counter. As I was getting a drink, I saw some guys coming down the stairs and groping at her hip as they passed. It was a narrow space, but there was definitely room to pass without touching. I was shocked but didn't say anything, thinking maybe the guys might be her friends, but she frowned back at them, and I realized this was indeed groping. I was shocked that the USA with all its feminism still nurtures the female harassment culture. This happens frequently in many bars. Females experience, bystanders witness, and no one talks about it.
