Over the past couple of years, I've posted a couple of stories on this website. Here is the first one, about how living in the same small town with your rapist totally blows: https://peoplesjusticeleague.com/incident-report/all-rapists-go-hell. Here is the second one about how I thought things were getting better: https://peoplesjusticeleague.com/incident-report/bystander-intervention-.... I was wrong. Bystander intervention does help in the moment when there are actually bystanders present to do something, but I should not have said that he is beginning to respect my wishes. He is just a coward. When I run into him in public, he doesn't do anything as long as I am with someone else, but whenever I am by myself, he thinks he can still get away with terrorizing me and he still aggresses toward me. Just the other day, I was parking my car getting ready to go into a friend's house. I was collecting my things out of the back seat before crossing the street. He drove by in a big pickup truck and was leering and laughing at me. I believe that some people can learn and change and grow and become better humans, but after 12 years of this behavior, I don't think he's one of them. People like him should be locked up, or worse, so that kind, innocent, helpful people like myself can live in peace.
