Don't look it up in Urban Dictionary.
I was just at Walmart and overheard to young men talking as they walked by me. One of them said something in a venomous tone while looking in my general direction. I didn't hear the whole thing, but it contained the words, "red mule." I have red hair, but it didn't dawn on me that he was talking about me when he said that. Urban dictionary doesn't have an entry for "red mule," but it does have one for "mule." It started as a military slang word standing for Married, Ugly, Lesbian, or Enlisted, basically meaning not date-able. It has now been more widely accepted meaning an ugly or disgusting woman. I think he meant for me to overhear that.
